New MOMO Boss Kits Released For 2024
Steering news, November 2023
MOMO have released new steering wheel boss kits ahead of 2024, and we have added them to the site. There are six brand new kits, and a large group of existing MOMO part numbers now fit more vehicles than before, so we have given those cars their own listings too.
If you are fitting an aftermarket steering wheel, the boss kit is the part that makes it work on your car. Here is what has changed, and what else we have in the showroom.
- Six new MOMO steering wheel boss kits for 2024
- Existing MOMO part numbers with expanded vehicle lists, now listed car by car
- New listings include Audi A8, Honda Accord, Lotus Elise and Exige, and Renault Clio IV and V
- Each MOMO kit fits the vehicle named in its title
- Two B-G Racing quick release bosses in the showroom, at least 20% off
- Over 500 boss kits across our whole collection

What is on this page
What a boss kit does
A boss kit, also called a hub, sits between the steering column and an aftermarket steering wheel. The car end is splined to match the column on that model, and the wheel end takes the bolt pattern of the wheel. Without the right one, the wheel cannot go on.
That is why every MOMO kit is listed against a vehicle. Each one fits the car named in its title, and the part number is specific to that column. MOMO introduced the first collapsible steering wheel hub in the 1970s. A collapsible hub is designed to deform in a controlled way in a collision, which a rigid hub does not.
The new and expanded MOMO kits
Alongside the six new kits, MOMO have extended the vehicle lists on many existing part numbers. The part code stays the same, but the kit now fits more cars. So that people can find the right one by searching for their own car, we have made a separate listing for each vehicle.
The new listings cover a wide spread: the Audi A8 across three generations, the Ford Ka, Laser and Explorer, the Honda Accord and City, the Lotus Elise Mk2 and all three generations of Exige, the Porsche Cayenne, the Renault Clio IV and V and the Espace, and the Volkswagen Transporter T5.
Our guides by marque, such as the Audi steering wheel hub guide, list the kits for each model in one place.
B-G Racing quick releases in the showroom
We also have two B-G Racing quick release bosses in the showroom, ready to go out or be collected, and both are discounted by at least 20%.
A quick release fits between the boss kit and the wheel, so the wheel comes off the column in seconds. That makes getting in and out of a car with a bucket seat and a cage much easier. The B-G universal quick release is aluminium and steel, locks with a push pin, takes six bolt wheels on a 6x70mm or 6x74mm pattern, and brings the wheel roughly 50mm closer to the driver.

Garreth’s advice is to check the bolt pattern on the back of your wheel before ordering anything, and to allow for the extra depth a quick release adds when you set the seat position.
