What the Montecarlo Heritage Wood is
The rim is Italian mahogany with a gloss finish, shaped with an anatomic grip and finger grooves on the back so it sits well in the hand on a long drive. The three spokes are black aluminium with an engraved MOMO logo in the centre spoke, and the horn button carries the MOMO Heritage logo.
It is 350 mm across with a flat 31 mm dish, and weighs around 1.2 kg. MOMO make it by hand in Italy.
Who it suits
A wooden rim and a shallow dish are what give a wheel that classic look, so this one is aimed squarely at retro interiors. In a restored classic or a car built in a period style, it finishes the cabin in a way a leather wheel does not.
Garreth’s advice is to check the distance to your dashboard and stalks before you choose any aftermarket wheel, and to order the right boss kit with it, since no wheel fits without one. Our guide to shallow dish steering wheels explains what the dish measurement means.

Other MOMO wheels in the range
The Montecarlo Heritage Wood joins MOMO’s Heritage line of classic wheels, with wooden or period style rims, three spoke designs and the older MOMO logo you only find on the Heritage range.
If you like the shape but want a more modern feel, the standard Montecarlo comes in leather. For something in between, the Prototipo Black Edition keeps a classic outline with black cut out aluminium spokes, laser etched lettering and a leather rim. We have MOMO wheels on display in the showroom, so you can compare a few side by side.
