New Racing Underwear Bundles For 2024

We have made up new racing underwear bundles for 2024 from Sparco, OMP and Alpinestars. Each one is a matching long sleeve top, bottoms and balaclava from the same range, so the whole fireproof layer under your suit comes in one order.
We have used the latest underwear range from each brand, and the tops and bottoms run from small up to XXL. Here is what is in each bundle.

Why underwear matters
A race suit is only part of the fire protection. Fireproof underwear adds another layer between the suit and your skin, and many championships that ask for FIA racewear list the underwear and balaclava alongside the suit. Our guide to FIA fireproof underwear explains what is usually needed.
Buying the three pieces together means they match, and it saves hunting for each one separately. In each bundle the top and bottoms are sized on their own, so if your top half and legs take different sizes, that is not a problem.
The three bundles
The Sparco bundle uses the RW-4 range: balaclava, long sleeve top and long johns in white, made from soft Nomex with a relaxed fit that layers well under a suit.
The OMP bundle uses the OMP First range, made from double layer soft knit Nomex with flat seams, and the top has raglan sleeves for movement at the shoulder. It comes in black or white, each on its own listing.
The Alpinestars bundle uses the Race V3 range in grey. It is made with Lenzing FR fibres for breathability, with flat seams and a relaxed fit, and the balaclava has two layers over the face and an opening for a drinks tube.

Every piece in all three bundles is approved to FIA 8856-2018, the current standard for racewear. The approval is on each item, so it is worth checking the labels against your championship's rules.
Garreth's advice is to choose underwear that fits close but not tight. It should sit flat under the suit without bunching at the elbows or knees.
