New Sparco Intercoms Now Available For 2024

Ten new Sparco intercom products have just been added to our range for 2024: amplifiers, headsets, a full face microphone, an ear plug speaker kit and Nexus adaptors. Together they cover everything needed to set up communication between driver and co-driver.
They are aimed at rallying and any other competition where the crew need to talk in the car, and there are parts for both open face and full face helmets.

The four amplifiers
The amplifier is the heart of the system. Sparco's range starts with the IS-200, an analogue unit with 6.3mm female plugs and nothing to configure. The IS-200 Plus is the same idea with female Nexus plugs, independent volume control for driver and co-driver, 12V or 9V battery power and an input for an in-car camera.
The digital units add noise filtering. The IS-300 has selectable noise filters and Bluetooth. The IS-400 has a 7 inch touch screen, selectable noise filters, adjustable voice equalisers, Bluetooth, a stopwatch, a stage mode and camera and radio inputs.

Headsets, microphones and speakers
An amplifier on its own does nothing, so the range includes the parts that go in the helmet: an open face intercom headset kit, a full face microphone and a headset kit for full face helmets. They share a universal design so they fit the most popular helmets.
For drivers dealing with a lot of background noise, the ear plug speaker kit is the one we point people to. It puts small speakers inside noise reducing ear plugs, so it blocks the cockpit noise and delivers the voice straight to the ear. It needs no space in the helmet, which makes it a good fit in a full face shell alongside Sparco’s full face microphone.

Nexus adaptors
The male and female Nexus adaptors let you join plugs that do not otherwise match, for example a helmet lead and an amplifier from different generations of kit. The thing to check is which end you already have: look at the free end of the lead you want to connect, and pick the adaptor that mates with it.

What is the difference between the Sparco IS-200 and IS-300?
The IS-200 is analogue with no settings to change. The IS-300 is digital, with selectable noise filters and Bluetooth.
What does the Sparco IS-400 add?
A 7 inch touch screen, adjustable voice equalisers, a stopwatch, a stage mode and camera and radio inputs, on top of selectable noise filters and Bluetooth.
What is the Sparco ear plug speaker kit for?
It puts speakers inside noise reducing ear plugs, so the voice comes through clearly in a loud cockpit, and it suits full face helmets where space is tight.
Do I need a Nexus adaptor?
Only if the plug on your lead does not match the socket you are connecting to. Check the free end of the lead and pick the male or female adaptor that mates with it.
