The Sparco IS-300 is the digital intercom amplifier in the middle of their range. Part number 00537047BT.
Two things separate it from the analogue IS-200. It has selectable noise filters, and it has Bluetooth.
The filters are the reason most people move up. In a loud cockpit an analogue amplifier passes on the engine and the road noise along with the voice, and after two hours of that you stop hearing pace notes properly. A digital unit processes the noise out, and being able to select the filter means you can set it for the car rather than accepting one compromise.
Bluetooth lets you bring a phone or a radio into the intercom, which matters if you take calls on road sections or run a service link.
Where it fits
Rallying above club level, and any car loud enough that clear speech is a problem rather than a preference. It takes both male and female Nexus connectors.
The rest of the system
An amplifier alone does nothing. You need headsets or helmet microphones and speakers for both people, plus leads. Tell us the helmets you run and we will put a working set together, because connectors are where these systems go wrong.
The IS-400 is the top of the range if you need more again.
Will it work with my helmets?
Your helmets need to be intercom-wired, either factory intercom-ready or fitted with a headset kit, and the connectors must match the amplifier system. Tell us which helmets you have and we will spec the exact leads or kits to make this work, in one go.
What do I need for a complete working setup?
An amplifier like this one, a wired kit in each helmet, and the leads that join them. If you are starting from nothing, send us your helmet models and whether you want music, phone, or radio in the mix, and we will quote the full setup rather than leaving you to guess at parts.
Is it loud enough for a race car?
These systems are designed around exactly that problem: a straight-cut gearbox and open exhaust are why sound-deadened headsets and speech-focused amplification exist. Set microphone placement right against the lips and you will hold a conversation at full noise. If your car is unusually loud, ask us about the higher-output units.
