Stilo have released a new helmet bag for 2024, and it is the first time we have had it. It is made to carry a helmet and a head and neck restraint together, and it has Stilo branding on the zips, the front and the back, so it matches a Stilo helmet well.
We have it in the showroom to look at, and it is one of eight new kit bags we have added to the site this season. Here is what it does, and how it compares with the other helmet bags we sell.

What is on this page
The Stilo helmet and FHR bag
The bag is built to protect a helmet and an FHR device from knocks and scrapes. The outer is heavy duty fabric, which takes the first hit, and the padded inner is lined with velvet so nothing scratches the helmet or the visor inside the bag.
It opens on a central double zip, and it has carry handles and an adjustable shoulder strap for the walk from the car park to the paddock.
The mesh panels along the sides are the detail we point out to people. They let air move through the bag, which helps stop damp and mould building up in a helmet that goes back in the bag after a hot session.
Garreth's advice is still to take the helmet out and let it dry properly at home. A bag that breathes helps, but it does not replace airing it out.
The other helmet bags we sell
Bell make two. The Bell Helmet and HANS bag has a separate compartment for each, a thick protective lining, pockets for gloves and a balaclava, and a quilted finish with red piping. The plain Bell Helmet Bag is simpler: a tough exterior, strong carry handles and a cushioned interior.
Sparco’s DryTech bag holds a helmet and an FHR device and has a built in drying system powered over 12V or USB, so the inside of the helmet can dry between sessions. OMP’s Helmet and HANS bag has a removable visor pocket and a removable shoulder strap, and the Rocked-IT bag is shower resistant with a fleece lining, double zips and an internal net section.
Eight new kit bags for 2024
The Stilo bag is one of eight new motorsport kit bags on the site for 2024, from Alpinestars, Sparco and Stilo. They include helmet bags, duffle bags and rucksacks, with compartments for the different parts of your kit and smaller pockets for things like visors and tear offs.
