Our OMP karting boots have all been updated for 2023, with the current safety information and colour options on every listing.
There is a new boot too. OMP has released the KS-2F, based on the popular KS-2 and reworked for a closer fit, more comfort and better control on the pedals.

The new OMP KS-2F
The KS-2F takes the KS-2, one of OMP's best known kart boots, and reworks it. The main change is inside: an all-new internal sock design that wraps the foot, which is more comfortable and gives a closer fit than a conventional tongue and lining.
Underneath there is a moulded heel pivot and a slip-resistant sole, so the heel stays planted while the foot rolls between the pedals. The outer has reinforced patches on the toe and heel, the areas that wear first and take the knocks.
It closes with a pull cord quick lace, and it comes in several colours, including black, red and black, white and red, navy blue, and black with fluorescent yellow. Sizes run from UK 4 to UK 12.
The KS-2F is not FIA approved. That suits most club and leisure karting, but check your series rules if you race in a championship that asks for approved footwear.

The job of a kart boot is simple: a thin sole for feel, grip on the pedals and support around the ankle. Garreth’s advice is to try boots on with the socks you drive in, and to leave a little room at the toe, as feet swell on a hot day.
Why proper boots matter
Trainers have thick, soft soles that dull the feel of the pedals and can catch on the pedal box. A kart boot has a thin, flexible sole and a narrow profile, which makes it easier to brake and accelerate precisely.
