The Bell Female-to-Female Nexus Connection Cable (BEL2140071) is a flexible interconnect cable that joins two male Nexus plugs, for example a Peltor-style helmet kit on a Stilo WRC or DG amplifier, which also has male Nexus leads. In practical terms, this is an adapter cable for rally teams where the driver’s helmet uses one manufacturer’s connector standard and the co-driver’s uses another, or where an older amplifier is being used with a newer helmet wiring loom.
The Nexus connector is Bell’s and Zeronoise’s standard for intercom wiring in their helmet and amplifier range. Stilo WRC and DG amplifiers have male Nexus leads, and so do many Peltor-style helmet kits. This female-to-female cable joins the two without changing the wiring on either side.
Intercom systems are connector-specific; fitting the wrong cable between components produces either no audio or degraded signal.
