About Bilstein
Bilstein have been building dampers in Germany since 1873 and put the first gas-pressure shock absorber into production in 1954. The monotube design that came out of that work is still what separates a Bilstein from a cheap replacement, because the gas and the oil stay separated and the damping does not fade as the damper heats up.
This part is ordered in for you rather than held on the shelf. Current lead time is 4 weeks from the date of order.
If you need it sooner, get in touch before you order and we will check what the supplier can do.
Will this fit my car?
This part is listed for the Mazda MX-5 3 NC. Bilstein split their range by chassis code, drivetrain and sometimes by suspension variant, so if your car had a facelift, sits on a sports or lowered setup from the factory, or you are not certain which variant you have, send us the registration and we will confirm the right part number before you order.
How many do I need?
Bilstein list dampers by part number, and depending on the car a number can cover one corner or one axle. Tell us whether you are doing one corner, one axle or the whole car and we will confirm exactly what to order.
Is B6 Performance the right line for me?
Fit B6 when the car is standard or on standard-height springs and you want it to feel sharper without ruining the ride.
Anything to do after fitting?
Have the geometry checked. Changing dampers, and especially changing ride height, moves toe and camber on most cars, and it is far cheaper than a set of tyres.
