The Sparco J-Pro (part SPA003379) is an open-face helmet carrying ECE 22-06 certification. That approval covers the majority of track days and club motorsport events where a full-face helmet is optional or not required by the regulations. If your licence or series requires FIA homologation, the J-Pro is not the right helmet.
The shell is ATM composite, the same material Sparco uses across their mid-tier and competition helmets. It is light enough to wear comfortably for a full day at the circuit. The inner lining is hypoallergenic, removable and washable, which matters more than it sounds after a hot July track day. The peak is a practical addition for open-cockpit cars and karts, particularly in low sun on tight circuits where glare would otherwise be a persistent problem.
Sizes run from S (55-56cm) to XXL (62cm). If you are between sizes, sizing up is usually the better call with open-face helmets as they allow a little more room for balaclava use. Colour options are Fluro Yellow, White, Matt Black, and Black & Grey. The fluorescent yellow is useful in endurance racing where marshals need to spot you quickly.
There are no HANS posts on the J-Pro. If your event requires a HANS device, you need a full-face helmet with post fittings. Communication mounts are also not included, so if you plan to run radio, check compatibility with your system before buying.
At ยฃ84.50, the J-Pro is the entry point in Sparcoโs helmet range. For track days in a closed-cockpit car where you want brand reliability without paying for FIA certification you do not need, it is the sensible starting point.
