Removable noise-isolating earmuffs for Stilo ST5 helmets, part number STOYA0002. Sold as a pair.
These earmuffs fit into the earplug positions inside the ST5 shell and provide noise isolation without any audio connection. There are no speakers in these muffs. Drivers who want maximum hearing protection use them alongside earplugs: the earmuffs fill the ear cup space in the helmet, the earplugs go into the muffs, and the combination gives two layers of isolation instead of one. Certified for track use.
The muffs are removable between sessions. You can run with them fitted for a timed lap where you want maximum noise isolation, then pull them out for a debrief or practice run where you need to hear things around the car more clearly.
These are not the same as the speaker earmuffs (SLOAE0304). The speaker earmuffs connect to the helmet’s earplug socket and deliver audio; these provide no audio connection at all and serve a different function in the same physical position inside the helmet. If you want to receive team radio through your helmet, the speaker earmuffs or an intercom system are what you need.
This is a noise-reduction accessory rather than a communication upgrade.
