What is on this page
Sabelt RS-400
The RS-400 sits at the top of Sabelt’s boot range. It has a digit sole for grip on the pedals, and a lace and Velcro strap fastening.
We have one pair left, in white and blue, in UK 11 (EU 46). It is on display in the showroom, so if that is your size it is worth coming in to try them.
Alpinestars SP V2
The SP V2 is the latest version of Alpinestars' entry-level race boot, approved to FIA 8856-2018. It has a suede upper and a soft knitted Nomex collar that is kind to the Achilles area.
Double layer panels on the sides protect the foot, a twin-layer footbed improves the fit, and the thin rubber sole gives good feel and grip on the pedals. It laces up in the traditional way.
P1 Monza
The P1 Monza is an all-leather boot, made in Italy. The upper is full-grain cow leather with extra protection on the outside of the foot, and the tongue and collar are lined with a soft aramid fabric. The collar is cut lower at the back so you can move your ankle freely.
The sole is anti-slip and anti-static, and resists oil and fuel.
Picking a boot
A race boot should feel close-fitting with a thin sole, so you can feel what the pedals are doing. Garreth’s advice is to try boots on with the socks you race in, and to check the approval against your championship’s rules.
