What has changed
We have been through every Sabelt steering wheel on the site. Each one now lists its diameter, dish, grip and spoke material for 2023, with updated prices and new close up images so the detail of the stitching, grip and spokes is clear before ordering.
The range covers a lot of ground: different diameters and dish depths, suede and other grip materials, several colours and a choice of fittings.
The new bundle option is the B-G Racing quick release steering wheel boss. It fits between the wheel and the boss kit on the common six bolt pattern, so the wheel can come off in seconds, which makes getting in and out past a bucket seat much easier.
Garreth's advice is to remember that a quick release adds depth and brings the wheel closer, so it is worth checking the reach before choosing a deep dish wheel as well.

The Sabelt wheels we recommend
The Sabelt SW-635 is a 350mm flat dish wheel with a suede grip and three black aluminium spokes. It is a straightforward, comfortable wheel for a car where the column already sits in the right place.
The Sabelt SW-732-733 comes in two diameters, 320mm as the SW-732 and 330mm as the SW-733, with suede on an oval grip. The flat bottom gives more room for the legs in a small cockpit and makes getting in and out easier. It has the six bolt pattern used by the most popular boss kits, including MOMO.
In the showroom
We have two Sabelt wheels on display to see and hold. One is the Sabelt Renault Clio wheel, a favourite with Renault drivers: a 330mm flat wheel made by Sabelt for Renault Sport, trimmed in black and blue suede, drilled for the standard six bolt fitting.
The other is the SW-390, a 350mm wheel with a 90mm deep dish, a suede grip, black aluminium spokes and a yellow centre stripe. The deep dish brings the rim well towards the driver, which suits many road cars once the original wheel has come off.

If a dished wheel is new to you, our guide to deep dish steering wheels explains when it helps. Clio owners will find the fitting side covered in our Renault Clio Mk2 steering wheel hub guide.
