Misha Charoudin's Nürburgring channel: three videos to watch

Our January 2025 viewing pick was Misha Charoudin's YouTube channel. His Nürburgring videos put you in the passenger seat for Nordschleife laps in everything from road cars to heavily modified track machines. Start with the Porsche GT3 RS MR if you want a long onboard lap with the driver talking through the car's behaviour.

The other original selections cover a BMW E46 M3 and an explanation of Nürburgring taxi rides.

What to watch for on the channel

The driving is the main attraction, but the car features give the laps some context. Watch how a different suspension setup, tyre choice or seating position changes the conversation inside the car. A road car and a dedicated track build can look quite different over the same piece of tarmac.

Cameron's advice is to pay attention to the driver's position and how settled they remain in the seat through a corner. For Garreth, the useful viewing is the discussion around the lap: what the owner has changed, what they want the car to do, and how it feels once it is moving.

You can browse the channel's own video list for the wider mix of onboard footage, car features and passenger rides.

Porsche GT3 RS MR: the onboard starting point

The first selection, My best drive ever: Porsche GT3 RS MR, follows a Manthey Racing modified GT3 RS around the Nordschleife with commentary from inside the car.

Follow the sequence of bends as well as the pace: crests and changes of direction arrive close together, and an onboard view helps make sense of sections that a trackside photograph cannot show.

BMW E46 M3

The second selection is 700 hp sub 7 BTG BMW E46 M3. Misha's title calls it his craziest Nürburgring ride. The heavily modified BMW provides a useful contrast with the Porsche, especially if your interest is in building and developing an older car.

How the taxi rides work

All you need to know about our Nürburgring taxi explains the passenger-lap side of the channel. It is the original background video from this January 2025 feature; use the operator's current information for booking details and the car being offered.

Why the Nordschleife rewards careful viewing

With a full lap of 20.832 km, 73 corners and about 300 metres of height difference, the Nordschleife described by the circuit operator demands more learning than a short club circuit. Blind crests and changing camber add to that work, and there is little run-off in many places.

Public tourist-driving sessions were part of the appeal when this spotlight was published in January 2025, with road-legal cars and motorcycles sharing the circuit.

Garreth would start a preparation conversation with the car's condition: tyres, brake pads and fluid, then a driving position that lets you use the controls comfortably. Cameron would check the seat and mounting arrangement together, including the space above your head with the equipment you intend to wear.

Current kit and further reading

If you are planning a visit now, check the operator's current tourist-driving information for access, vehicle requirements and opening times. For your own track-day kit, begin with fit and the organiser's requirements. These shop links cover the Bell GP3 Sport helmet, OMP Sport gloves and Sparco Slalom shoes. Check the exact version and size before ordering.

Questions about the channel and circuit

Start with the Porsche GT3 RS MR onboard for a long lap with commentary, then try the modified E46 M3 or the taxi explanation.

The circuit operator quotes 20.832 km and 73 corners, with about 300 metres of elevation change; video timing references can use different start and finish points.

They help you recognise sections and understand the setting, while the operator or event organiser supplies the current requirements for your car and equipment.
