The Complete B-G and MOMO Ferrari Steering Wheel Hub Guide
BG8287, one part number, covers ten classic Ferraris: the 208 GTB and GTS, 308 GTB and GTS, 328 GTB and GTS, the 365 GT/BB, GTB/4 and GTC/4, the Mondial 8 and 3.2, and the 512 BB. Ferrari kept the same column across nearly two decades of V8 and flat-twelve production, which is why one hub does the work most makes need five or six parts for.
This is a small, mostly classic catalogue: 20 boss kits, 19 of them B-G. I am Cameron, and I look after the steering wheel side of things at GSM Performance.
Which boss kit fits your car
An aftermarket wheel will not bolt onto a Ferrari column on its own. The boss kit bridges the two, machined to match the spline count and column depth of your specific model and year. The table below shows every listing we carry.
| Model | Part code | Brand | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ferrari | |||
| Ferrari F430 Also fits the Fiat Ducato and Citroen Jumper vans, a matching column dimension rather than any shared engineering history. | BG8226 | B-G | Collapsible |
| Ferrari 412, Ferrari 400i, Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 | BG8286 | B-G | Solid |
| Ferrari Mondial 8, Ferrari Mondial 3.2, Ferrari GTO, Ferrari 512 BB, Ferrari 365 GT/BB, Ferrari 365 GTB/4, Ferrari 365 GTC/4, Ferrari 328 GTS, Ferrari 328 GTB, Ferrari 308 GTS, Ferrari 308 GTB, Ferrari 208 GTS Turbo, Ferrari 208 GTB | BG8287 | B-G | Solid |
| Ferrari Testarossa | BG8288 | B-G | Solid |
| Ferrari F355 | BG8368 | B-G | Collapsible |
| Ferrari F40 (1987-1998) | MC3905 | MOMO | Collapsible |
The single green row shares a part code with the Fiat Ducato and Citroen Jumper by coincidence of column dimensions.
BG8226, the F430 hub, also fits the Fiat Ducato and Citroen Jumper vans. That is a coincidence of matching column dimensions rather than any shared engineering, the same way MK7733R turns up on both a Hyundai and a Toyota elsewhere in this series. It is worth knowing so the crossover does not read as more significant than it is.
Fitting a steering wheel hub
So how does a Sparco wheel end up on a B-G hub? Because nearly every aftermarket motorsport wheel is drilled to the same bolt pattern, six bolts on a 70mm circle, written as 6 x 70mm PCD. MOMO, Sparco, OMP and the Mountney M-Range all use it. The hub is chosen by the car, the wheel is chosen by you, and the two brands never have to match.
MOMO, Sparco, OMP, Simoni Racing and the Mountney M-Range.
Nardi, Personal and Raid.
Fitting it, in order
- 1Hub onto the column
- 2Wheel onto the hub
- 3Horn wire onto the tab
- 4Retaining ring holds the horn button
How each brand drills its hubs
The B-G Racing hubs
Nineteen B-G hubs, all solid non-collapsible and dual drilled for 6 x 70mm and 6 x 74mm. BG8287 alone covers ten classic models, from the 208 GTB through to the 512 BB. BG8286 covers the 365 GT 2+2, 400i and 412. The F355, Testarossa and F430 each have their own dedicated part.
The MOMO hub
One MOMO listing: MC3905 for the F40, collapsible and drilled 6 x 70mm. It is the only MOMO part in the Ferrari range, everything else on this page is B-G.
Browse by brand
The buttons below link to the current range from each brand filtered by make, so they stay accurate as stock changes. If your car is not listed or you are unsure which part fits, drop a note with the model and year and we will confirm before you spend anything.

A quick release sits between the hub and the wheel and lets you pull the wheel off the column in one action. On a track-prepared Ferrari that is useful for access and security. On a stripped interior it makes getting over the sill easier when the wheel is not fighting you.
All four take the same 6 x 70mm pattern as the boss kits on this page, so whichever hub you choose will work with any of these.

Pair your boss kit with a high performance steering wheel
Once the hub is sorted the wheel is your choice. The classic V8 and V12 cars suit a smaller diameter, deeper dish wheel that echoes the period wood-rim look without the maintenance. These are the ones I would look at first.

Every wheel we sell is drilled 6 x 70mm, so any of them will bolt to any of the hubs above. The real decision is diameter and dish, which changes how heavy the steering feels and how close the rim sits to your chest.
Final thoughts
Ferrari is one of the tidiest catalogues we cover, twenty parts and almost no cross-catalogue noise beyond one coincidental dimension match with a couple of vans. BG8287 doing the work of ten models on its own is the standout fact worth knowing.
If you are not sure which part fits, or the model on your car is not on the list, drop us a line with the registration. I will confirm the right kit before you order anything.
