The BG4911 is a bolt-on adaptor plate that lets you fit a Mountney Classic or Moto-Lita steering wheel onto a modern Momo-type boss kit. The inner face is drilled for the 6x70mm and 6x74mm PCD used by most aftermarket boss kits. The outer face accepts wheels with a 9×101.6mm or 6x101mm PCD, which is the larger bolt pattern found on Mountney and Moto-Lita wheels.
It is 10mm deep and machined around the centre ring and horn button assembly so those components stay in place after fitting. The dual drilling on both faces means it covers a range of boss kits and a range of classic wheels without modification.
The practical use for this adaptor is when someone wants to keep a classic British steering wheel but has fitted, or is fitting, a modern aftermarket hub from Momo, Sparco, OMP or any other brand using the 6x70mm or 6x74mm pattern. A modern hub is often the easier option when the original Mountney or Moto-Lita boss is worn or no longer available. The BG4911 gives the old wheel back without sourcing a replacement classic boss.
It also pairs with the BG4924 quick release system. The BG4924 adapts a classic hub to a modern wheel; the BG4911 adapts a modern hub to a classic wheel. Used together, they give a quick release on a classic wheel and classic hub combination.
Made from aluminium with a black anodised finish. No welding required.
