Helmet package, September 2021

Fitted together on the showroom mannequin and photographed as the actual pair, like the rest of the series.
- Stilo ST5 FN composite helmet with a Stand21 Club Series 3 HANS
- Helmet approved to FIA 8859-2015 and Snell SA2015

What is on this page
What is in the package
A Stilo ST5 FN composite helmet and a Stand21 Club Series 3 HANS device. The package link adds both and applies the discount.
The ST5 comes with quick release couplings for the HANS tethers, and we checked the fit on the mannequin before listing the set.
The Stilo ST5 FN composite
The F in FN is Stilo’s open car layout. Where the GTN has a short sunshade for closed cars, the FN has a clear full visor as standard for open ones, with a short sunshade available if you ever race under a roof. The N, as on the GTN, means no side ports and no electronics.
It is approved to FIA 8859-2015 and Snell SA2015. It also has a drinks system built in, which matters more in an open car on a hot day than people expect, and the same adjustable earmuffs as the rest of the ST5 range.
The side view shows the quick release coupling with the Club Series 3 tether clipped in, and how cleanly the shell runs without side ports.
For open cars Garreth always asks about seating position. The Club Series 3 is set at 20 degrees for an upright seat, so if yours is laid back, ask us before you order.

The Stand21 Club Series 3 HANS
The other half of the package is the Stand21 Club Series 3, approved to FIA 8858-2010. It is set at 20 degrees, the angle for an upright seat in a saloon, GT or rally car, and it is injection moulded from a composite, which keeps it to around 750 g with its pads and tethers.
It is a 20 degree device, so it matches open cars with a fairly upright seat. A reclined single seater position usually needs a larger angle, which our HANS guide covers.
If you are not sure of the angle or size for your seat, our guide to which HANS device you need goes through it.

Who this package suits
Drivers of open cars, sports racers and roadsters in particular, who need a full face helmet with a full visor and a head restraint for an upright seat.
Our guide on open face or full face covers why open cars need the full face and visor, and measuring for a helmet shows how to measure.
