The Bell KC7-CMR Carbon (SKU 120500) is the full-carbon version of Bell’s youth karting helmet. It was the first ultra-lightweight carbon helmet built to the CMR-2016 standard when it launched, and it is certified for drivers under 15 where CMR is mandated by the regulations. The full carbon shell is lighter than the carbon-fiberglass composite of the standard KC7-CMR while carrying the same design platform inherited from the HP7 Formula 1 helmet.
Construction is the same HP7-based architecture: 14-channel ventilation through the top and chin bar, a DSAF anti-fog visor using the SE07 2mm KC7-specific mounting (not interchangeable with the adult 3mm system), and optimised aerodynamic shell geometry. Non-fireproof interior lining is correct for karting regulations and is more durable in kart use than a fire-retardant equivalent would be. As with all KC7 helmets, this model is NOT compatible with HANS or FHR anchor systems.
Sizing runs from 52cm through 59cm in individual centimetre increments, covering the range of young drivers from the youngest categories through to older juniors. For a driver who has outgrown the KC7 size range (head circumference above 59cm), the adult RS7-K or RS7-K Carbon are the correct next helmets, though they carry a karting homologation rather than CMR. If your driver is transitioning from the junior categories to adult kart classes, confirm which homologation their specific series requires before purchasing.

How do I get the right size?
Measure around your head at the widest point, about an inch above your eyebrows, and match the centimetres to the size options (this one runs from roughly 52cm to 59cm). The fit should be snug all round with no pressure points, and it should not rotate when you shake your head. Between sizes, try the smaller one first, as linings bed in. Is it legal for UK motorsport?

Does it work with a HANS device?

Do visor tear-offs fit this helmet?

How do I look after it?
Store it in its bag away from heat and direct sun, clean the shell with mild soap and water only (solvents attack the finish and the shell), and let the lining air out after use. And the big one: after any significant impact, replace the helmet even if it looks fine, as the protective liner is designed to crush once.
