Read this before you buy it for a race car
This is an EN3 approved hand held extinguisher for a workshop or a service vehicle. It is not an FIA homologated competition extinguisher and it is not a plumbed in system. If your regulations call for an extinguisher from the FIA technical list, or for a plumbed system, this will not satisfy a scrutineer.

Dry powder, and what that means
It puts fires out well and it makes a terrible mess. Powder gets everywhere, it is corrosive to electronics and it is genuinely difficult to clean out of a car interior. In a van, an awning or a workshop that trade off is fine, and this is exactly the right tool for those.
