The Sparco F-10A is a 270mm five spoke wheel in suede. Part number SSW015P270SSN.
270mm is the reason to look at this one. Most road and fast road wheels are 330mm or 350mm. Dropping to 270mm makes the steering feel quicker for the same rack, because you are turning a smaller circle for the same lock, and it frees up room between the rim and your thighs in a car where you sit low with a helmet on. It is a competition wheel rather than a road one, and in a car with heavy unassisted steering it will feel like hard work at parking speeds.
Specification
270mm diameter, flat dish at 0mm, so the rim sits where the boss puts it with no reach towards you. Five aluminium spokes in black. Suede grip.
Note that the horn push is not included with this wheel, which is normal for a competition item and worth knowing before it arrives. If the car needs a working horn for an MOT, factor that in.
Suede grips better than leather, especially in gloves, and marks faster. On a competition wheel that is the right way round.
Fitting, and the part most people miss
The centre is drilled twice. There is the usual six hole pattern on a 70mm PCD, which takes any standard Momo, OMP or Sparco boss, and there is also a three bolt pattern on a 50.8mm PCD for a quick release.
That second pattern is the reason Sparco list this wheel for single seaters and sports prototypes. If you are running a car you have to climb out of quickly, or one where the wheel comes off to get in at all, the three bolt quick release is what you want and this wheel is already drilled for it. Tell us which route you are taking and we will supply the right boss.
If the car has a driver airbag it has to come out first, with consequences for the MOT and your insurance. Raise it with us before ordering.
