This is the helmet side of an intercom system, built specifically for an open face helmet. It has high quality speakers, noise attenuating ear cups and a flexible boom microphone, so the microphone sits where your mouth is rather than somewhere it can hear the engine better than it can hear you.
The ear cups are the part that matters most and the part people underestimate. Cutting the noise reaching your ears does more for clarity than turning the volume up, and it is why a proper headset beats a speaker taped inside a lid.
Open face only
This kit is cut for an open face helmet. If you run a full face, you need the full face microphone and a speaker arrangement instead, because there is no room for ear cups inside a full face shell.
It has a male Nexus connector. Check what your amplifier or lead presents before you order, because getting the gender wrong is the single most common mistake with intercom kit and it is a five second check.
