Where it earns its place
Air travel to events, arrive and drive weekends, and karting where you are moving between a paddock spot and a garage several times a day. It also works as ordinary luggage, which is why Sparco list it as leisure as well as motorsport kit.
Wheels are the thing to think about honestly. A trolley is excellent on tarmac and hard standing and less good on a grass paddock in the wet, so if most of your events are club level on grass, a duffle you can carry may serve you better.
Packing
Keep the helmet in its own soft lined bag rather than loose with boots. Visors scratch, and a scratched visor is a new visor.
