A Sparco steering wheel spacer, 50mm deep, in aluminium. Part number 01595.
A spacer sits between the boss and the wheel and brings the rim towards you. That sounds trivial and it is one of the most common fixes we sell, because fitting a bucket seat almost always moves you backwards and downwards relative to where the standard seat had you. Suddenly you are reaching for a wheel that used to be in the right place.
When to use one
When the wheel you want is only available in a flat or shallow dish, or when you already own the wheel and do not want to buy another. A 50mm spacer does much the same job as buying a deeper dish wheel, and it is a lot cheaper than replacing a wheel you like.
Set your seat position first, then measure. Sit in the car in the seat you will actually use, put your hands where you want them, and see how far short you are. If the gap is closer to 25mm than 50mm, tell us and we will look at what else is available.
The thing to check
Bringing the wheel 50mm closer also brings it closer to your legs and to the column stalks. Check indicator and wiper stalk reach before you commit, particularly in a car where they are already close to the rim.
Black or silver. Aluminium, so it adds very little weight.
