The Trophy headset is part of Stilo’s Trophy communication system. It connects to the Trophy 2 amplifier (SLOAB0102) using the Trophy-specific plug, which is different from the WRC connector. If you are running a WRC 03 (SLOAB0200) or any Stilo ST30 amplifier, this headset will not work with it. Check the amplifier model first.
The earcups fold inward, so the unit compresses into roughly half its normal footprint for storage. In a car with a full roll cage, being able to put the headset away between stages without it snagging on harnesses or bracing is a practical advantage. The microphone is a magnetic-dynamic noise-cancelling boom, adjustable along its length. Position it right in front of your lips: noise cancellation works by comparing the signal at the mouth against the background, and that comparison only produces a useful result when the microphone is correctly placed.
The Trophy headset differs from the WRC practice headset (SLOAD0210) in noise attenuation. Trophy electronics suit club-level rally in relatively quiet cars. Group N on mixed-surface stages is the natural environment for this system. If you are in a louder car or are planning to move up a class, specifying the WRC headset and WRC 03 amplifier together from the start avoids the need to change connectors later.
