The ZeroNoise full-face helmet headset with integral ear cups (part 6300009) is an in-helmet headset for full-face motorsport helmets, with the speakers mounted inside foam earcups, not flat pads.
The foam earcups fit into the ear recesses of the helmet and isolate the speakers from cockpit noise more effectively than flat pads against the lining. In a loud race or rally environment, that physical isolation reduces the background noise reaching the ear, which means the amplifier does less work and voice clarity is better. The microphone in full-face headsets is fixed in the chin-bar area rather than on a boom arm; the 6300009 follows this layout. The cable ends in a male 4-pin Nexus plug, for a ZeroNoise Brave, Fury, Fearless or Pit-Link with female leads, or any amplifier with female Nexus leads.
The ear cups are what separate it from the flat-pad full-face headset (6300010) and the Valiant full-face headset (6300019). The difference is the construction: the flat pads suit most helmets, while the earcups deliver better isolation and are the right choice where the helmet is built to accommodate them. Helmets with defined earcup recesses in the lining will take the 6300009 cleanly; helmets with a flat lining work better with the 6300010 or 6300019.
The open-face equivalent, the ZeroNoise open-face headset with integral ear cups (6300004), is the same concept with a boom microphone instead of the chin-bar position.
