The Complete BC Racing Coilover Guide for Dodge

Can you get coilovers for a Dodge? Yes. BC Racing lists twelve Dodge fitments with us, across six models, from £999 for a Charger to £1,239 for an Avenger or Caliber in the RM series. Nearly all of them are BR, the 30-way adjustable entry series, so the choices that matter are the chassis code, the top mounts and, on the Viper, the fork size. This guide goes model by model.

  • Prices read from the live site on 20 October 2026, inc VAT
  • Twelve Dodge fitments listed, six models
  • Product cards show prices before VAT, as the rest of the site does

Which Dodge, and which code

Start with the model, then the code. BC Racing lists the Dodge range by model and year, and where a listing gives a chassis code it is in the table below: LD for the current Charger, LX for the earlier one, PF for the Dart, WD for the Durango and VX for the newer Viper. The Avenger, the Caliber and the older Vipers carry no code in their titles, so for those the model and the years do the work.

Cameron reads the table from the other end. He asks for the year and the trim first, because on a make like this the same model name can sit across more than one listing, and the code is what separates them. Garreth’s rule is simpler: if the year and the trim match a row in the table, you are looking at the right page.

BR or RM: what you are choosing between

BR is the series most people buy, and it is the only one on ten of the twelve Dodge pages. BC’s own series listing gives it a mono-tube damper with 30-way adjustment and a ride height that adjusts independently of spring preload. What changes from one Dodge to the next is the top mount. The Charger and Durango kits come with rubber top mounts, front and rear. The Dart and the Viper kits are listed without a front top mount, with rubber at the rear. The Avenger and Caliber BR kits give you a pillowball at the front and rubber at the rear.

RM is the second series, and only the Avenger and the Caliber list it. The dampers are inverted mono-tubes, also 30-way, and the listing calls it the race-oriented build. It is £1,239 on those two pages against £1,049 for the BR, and you pick the series as an option on the page.

If you want the whole range laid out, our guide Which BC Racing Coilover Series Do You Need? has the ladder, and the BR explained and RM explained pages go into each series. They are worth a few minutes if you are weighing the RM.

1. Charger: four listings, two chassis codes

The Charger has more listings than any other Dodge on the page. The current car is the LD, and it has two listings: the Charger (RWD) for 2011 to 2023 and the Scat Pack for 2011 on. They give the same default rates, 10 kg/mm at the front and 14 kg/mm at the rear, and the same price. The earlier car is the LX, with its own pair: the SRT-8 for 2006 to 2010 and the SRT-8 all wheel drive for 2007 to 2010.

All four are BR with rubber top mounts, and the listings say the stiffer rear is normal on this layout.

Tell us the year and the trim and we will confirm which page to buy from.

  • Price. £999 each, inc VAT, as listed
  • Adjustment. 30-way, with ride height set on the lower bracket, independent of spring preload
  • In the box. A matched four corner kit: dampers, springs, lower brackets, locking collars and adjuster spanners
  • Buy it if. You want the Charger lowered, with the height set the way you want it

Product cards show prices excluding VAT. Prices in the text include VAT.

2. Viper: four listings, and the fork size matters

The Viper is split by years. The 1992 to 1995 car has its own kit, with rates of 10 kg/mm at the front and 16 kg/mm at the rear. The 1996 to 2008 cars have two listings, and both say Check Fork Size in the title: one is marked 85.5 and the other 97.5. The 2013 to 2017 car is a separate listing for the VX, also marked 97.5, and it is the one with a chassis code in its title.

All four are BR, listed without a front top mount and with rubber at the rear, and the three later kits run 10 kg/mm at the front and 12 kg/mm at the rear.

Do not order a 1996 to 2008 Viper until the fork size is confirmed. Tell us the car and Cameron checks which of the two it needs before anything is ordered. Garreth would rather lose a day on that check than send the wrong kit.

  • Price. £1,049 each, inc VAT, as listed
  • Adjustment. 30-way, with ride height independent of spring preload
  • In the box. A matched four corner kit, with the top mount as the listing names it
  • Buy it if. You own a Viper and want it lowered properly, with the right listing confirmed first

3. Avenger, Caliber, Dart and Durango

The Avenger Sedan (2008 to 2014) and the Caliber SRT-4 (2006 to 2012) are the only two Dodges with a choice of series. BR is £1,049 and RM is £1,239, on the same page, and the BR gives a pillowball front with rubber at the rear while the RM gives an inverted front with rubber at the rear. The default rates are 6 and 4 on the Avenger and 8 and 6 on the Caliber.

The Dart (2013 to 2016, code PF) is BR only, with rates of 7 and 3 and no front top mount in the kit. The Durango is the heaviest rated kit on the page, at 10.5 front and 18 rear, for the rear drive car from 2011, at £1,179. Neither of those two has a second series to think about.

The Avenger and the Caliber cards show a from price, which is the BR, and the RM price appears when you pick the series on the product page.

Before you order

  • Chassis code. The code in the table is the one in the listing title (LD, LX, PF, WD or VX). Check it against the car, not just the model name
  • Fork size. The two Viper listings for 1996 to 2008 say Check Fork Size. Tell us the car and we confirm which one before it is ordered
  • Top mounts. Read the option on the page: rubber on the Charger and Durango, no front top mount on the Dart and Viper, pillowball or inverted at the front on the Avenger and Caliber
  • Drive. The Charger SRT-8 has an all wheel drive listing of its own, and the Durango is listed as rear drive only
  • Alignment. Lowering changes camber and toe, so book the alignment as part of the job

Common questions

Yes. BC Racing lists four, at £999 each: the LD Charger (RWD) for 2011 to 2023, the LD Scat Pack for 2011 on, and the earlier LX SRT-8 in rear and all wheel drive. Tell us the year and trim and we will confirm the page.

Not today. We searched the BC Racing range by model name as well as by make and no Challenger listing came up. The Charger, Dart, Durango, Avenger, Caliber and Viper are the Dodges it lists.

BR on all twelve. The Avenger and the Caliber SRT-4 also list the RM, at £1,239 against £1,049 for the BR, and you choose the series on the product page. The BR gives a pillowball at the front on those two, and the RM an inverted front.

It depends on the listing. The Charger and Durango come with rubber top mounts, front and rear. The Dart and the Viper are listed without a front top mount and with rubber at the rear. The Avenger and Caliber BR kits give a pillowball at the front, and the RM an inverted front, both with rubber at the rear.

The 1996 to 2008 Viper has two listings, one marked 85.5 and one marked 97.5, and the listing asks you to check the fork size before you order. The 2013 to 2017 car is a separate listing with its own chassis code, VX. We confirm which one your car needs before anything is ordered.

The listings say BC Racing chooses the default rates for each car and that they can be changed without replacing the dampers, so tell us what the car is for and we will advise.

Yes, because lowering changes camber and toe, so book the alignment as part of the job.

What we would fit

G

Garreth

What I would buy

For a Charger I would buy the BR at £999 and set the height where the car looks right. There is only one series on the page, so the decision is made for you, and the price is the lowest on the page. Set the height, book the alignment and leave the damping where it is to begin with.

On the Avenger and the Caliber I would still start with the BR at £1,049, because both are road cars for most people and the extra money is better spent on the alignment and a good set of tyres.

Cameron

What I check before it ships

I check the chassis code against the car first, then the top mount option on the page. On a Viper I check the fork size before anything else, and I will not guess it. Those two checks take a few minutes and they decide the order.

Where Garreth and I differ is the RM. He says the BR does the job for nearly everyone, and on the road he is usually right. If a Caliber SRT-4 is going on track I would take it, because the listing calls it the race-oriented build and the inverted dampers are the point of it.
