We now have both versions of the Sparco 383 steering wheel in the showroom. The plain black wheel has been joined by the version with a blue Sparco logo stripe at the top of the rim, which is our newest addition to the display.
At the same time we have been through our whole Sparco steering wheel range on the site for the 2024 season, with fuller details on every wheel and a quick release boss you can add as you order.

The Sparco 383 in two versions
The 383 is a 330mm suede wheel with three black aluminium spokes and a 39mm shallow dish. It is one of the Sparco wheels we are asked about most for road and track day cars, and the reason is simple: it comes with a horn push as standard, which matters on any car that still has to pass an MOT.
The two versions are the same wheel apart from the top of the rim. One is plain black suede. The other has a blue band with the Sparco logo at twelve o’clock, which works as a straight-ahead marker as well as looking the part. Now both are on the display, you can hold them side by side and decide which you prefer.
The shallow dish sets the rim slightly further back from the boss than a flat wheel. That suits cars where the seat is a long way from the column, or where a flat wheel would sit awkwardly close to the dashboard.
Suede is the grip Sparco use on their competition wheels because it holds well in gloves. It does mark with use, so it is worth keeping a pair of driving gloves in the car if the wheel is going on a road car.

Five Sparco wheels to try in the showroom
We have five Sparco steering wheels on display, so you can feel the difference between sizes, dishes and grips before you choose. A wheel is one of those parts that is hard to judge from a photo, and holding it at arm’s length tells you more than a spec sheet.
One of the more unusual wheels on the shelf is the F-10A. It is a small 270mm alloy wheel with a suede rim, made for single seaters and sports prototypes. Its centre is drilled for a three bolt quick release on a 50.8mm PCD, the pattern used on most three bolt motorsport bosses.
If the 383 is not quite right, the 368 and the 215 are the alternatives we point people to. The 368 is another suede wheel with aluminium spokes. The 215 has a two spoke design, with a choice of deep or flat dish and suede or leather. Garreth’s advice is simple: sit in the car, measure from the boss to where your hands fall, and bring that number with you.
