The latest asymmetrical instep lacing system coupled with strategically placed perforated ventilation zones along with the sleek anatomical profile of the design provides unsurpassed levels of comfort, fit, and performance, while external heel, ankle, and internal toe reinforcements aid protection and durability while reducing abrasion. Breathability and weight-saving are further enhanced through the minimal use of stitching and the incorporation of the latest materials such as PU film and 3D mesh on the tongue. Driver comfort and feel are optimised through the use of soft padding on the tongue and collar, a lower cut on the rear for greater Achilles flexibility, and using Formula 1 derived technology, the Tech-1 KZ uses an exclusive, ultra-thin rubber compound in the sole for greater driver feel, grip and sensitivity in all conditions.

What size should I order?
Sizes run from UK 9 | EU 43 up to UK 9 | EU 43. Kart boots fit close like race boots, so most drivers take their normal trainer size. If you are between sizes or wear a wide fit, ask us before ordering.

Are they legal for competition karting?
These boots are not homologated for competition karting, which makes it the right price for practice, corporate events, and rental driving, but not for club or championship racing. If you race, look at the FIA 8877-2022 items in the range.

Why the thin sole and high ankle?
The thin sole gives you pedal feel, and the high cut protects and supports the ankle, which sits exposed next to the bodywork in a kart. It is also why kart boots make poor walking shoes, so keep them for driving.
