The Sparco K-Pole (SKW001269) is a mid-height karting boot. It is not FIA approved, which makes it suitable for club karting, practice sessions, and leisure karting but not for FIA Karting championships or series that specifically require FIA-rated footwear. Most club-level karting in the UK doesn’t require FIA-rated boots, and the K-Pole covers that use well at an accessible price.

The upper is perforated microfibre, which is lighter and more breathable than suede. In karting, where the driver can overheat quickly in a suit, the ventilation through perforated uppers makes a real difference across back-to-back sessions. The high-tech rubber sole gives good pedal feel and grip, and the external lace system with elasticated heel bellows keeps the fit secure without cutting off circulation.

Size range runs from EU 36 (UK 3.5) to EU 48 (UK 13), making this one of the few karting boots that works equally well for junior drivers and adults. Six colour options: Black, Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Blue and White.

For a driver starting out in club karting, this is the right level and the right price. The FIA-approved Slalom (001295) on the same site is the step up if competition regulations start to require it. Part number SKW001269.

What size should I order?
Sizes run from UK 3.5 | EU 36 up to UK 13 | EU 48. Kart boots fit close like race boots, so most drivers take their normal trainer size. If you are between sizes or wear a wide fit, ask us before ordering.

Are they legal for competition karting?
These boots are not homologated for competition karting, which makes it the right price for practice, corporate events, and rental driving, but not for club or championship racing. If you race, look at the FIA 8877-2022 items in the range.

Why the thin sole and high ankle?
The thin sole gives you pedal feel, and the high cut protects and supports the ankle, which sits exposed next to the bodywork in a kart. It is also why kart boots make poor walking shoes, so keep them for driving.
