The OMP One Long Johns are the premium racing underwear option in OMP’s range for the lower body. The fabric is double-layer Ecru Nomex: Ecru meaning undyed, which retains more of the Nomex fibre’s natural heat resistance than dyed material, and double-layer giving improved fire protection compared to single-layer construction. FIA 8856-2018 approved. Part number IAA-761.

Anatomical cut designed to sit flat under the suit without bunching at the knee or ankle, which matters on longer stints. OMP’s Dry System pulls moisture outward during use. The Advanced Cooling Activation Spray, sold separately, enhances the cooling technology in the fabric when applied before putting the garments on.

Available in Black and White. Sizes XS through XXL. The matching top is the OMP One Evo Long Sleeve Top; wearing them as a set is the practical approach for competition use. The One Long Johns sit above the Tecnica range in construction quality and above the basic First range in approval level, and the price reflects that.

Do I actually need FIA underwear?
If your championship requires it, this is the layer scrutineers ask about, and it is strongly recommended under any suit regardless. These garments are homologated to FIA 8856-2018, the current FIA standard, so the label is there when scrutineers ask for it. What size should I go for?
Sizes run from XS to XXL. Underwear layers should sit close to the skin without pinching, as loose fabric wrinkles under the suit and gets uncomfortable fast. Between sizes, take the smaller one for a base layer.

How do I wash it?
Underwear layers are the one bit of racewear you should wash after every use: cool and gentle, no bleach or fabric softener, air dry. That keeps the suit itself needing far fewer washes. Full routine in our racewear care guide.
