FIA 8856-2000 is the older of the two current FIA undersuit standards. The newer standard is FIA 8856-2018. Most UK club and national championships accept 8856-2000 undersuits, but if your series specifies 8856-2018, check the regulations before buying. For the majority of UK club racing and track day use, the UI-100 is a valid and accepted standard.
Nomex provides fire protection at the leg, not thermal insulation. These bottoms must be worn under an FIA-homologated race oversuit to function as part of a fire-protective system. On their own, they are not an approved fire-protection garment for motorsport use.
The cut is ergonomic. The bottoms sit smoothly under a race suit without bunching at the knees or hips, which matters over a long stint where suit bunching becomes uncomfortable and can create pressure points. Available in black and white. Sizes S, M, L and XL. No SKU is held for this listing.
