A Sparco suit bag in blue. Part number BRA0009B0B2300N.

A race suit is an expensive thing that spends most of its life folded in a holdall with a pair of boots on top of it. A suit bag is the cheap fix for that: the suit hangs full length, the creases fall out, and it does not come out of the car smelling of whatever else was in the bag.

What it is good for

Suits mainly, but it takes overalls, a mechanic’s suit or a kart suit just as well. If you travel to events with the suit in the back of the car it keeps it clean and off the floor, and it hangs on the back of a garage door or an awning pole in the paddock.

At this money it is the sort of thing that gets added to an order for a suit rather than bought on its own, and we are happy to put it in the same box.

Looking after a suit

Worth saying while you are here. A flame retardant suit loses some of its protection if it is washed with the wrong things or dried on a radiator, so read the label rather than treating it like ordinary clothing. Hanging it rather than folding it is the easiest single thing you can do to make it last.

Blue. If you want a different colour or a bigger holdall for boots and helmet as well, ask us what is in the kit bag range.

What fits in it?
It is shaped for a race or kart suit kept flat or folded once, which keeps the suit presentable and the fireproof layers uncreased between events. Most drivers keep underwear and gloves in with it too.

Is it worth a dedicated kit bag over a normal holdall?
The difference is compartments and padding in the right places: wet and dry separation, boot pockets that keep tarmac dust off your suit, and padded sections where they matter. A normal holdall works until the first time a buckle rubs a hole in fireproof fabric.

How do I look after it?
Brush it out and wipe it down rather than machine washing, and let it dry open after a wet weekend. Zips last longest if you close them before storage.

Some Sparco is on the shelf, the rest is imported

Anything stocked in our showroom can go out the next working day. Everything else comes in on our regular imports from Sparco in Italy, which normally means up to a couple of weeks.

The range is enormous

Sparco make far too many products for one lead time to cover them all, so contact us with the exact item and we will give you its real position.
