The Sparco Trip Kit Bag (part SLW016439NRSI) is a motorsport hold-all designed to carry equipment between paddock, pit lane, and car. It has two separate zip-closure compartments and a padded adjustable shoulder strap, which is the practical combination for moving kit around a circuit when your hands are otherwise occupied.
The two-compartment layout is useful on event day. Keeping suit and helmet separate from boots and gloves, or separating clean kit from what comes back dirty at the end of a session, is easier when the bag has a clear division rather than one large space to dig through in a hurry.
The padded shoulder strap is comfortable under the load a typical day’s kit generates. If you regularly travel to events with a full suit, helmet, gloves, and footwear, the bag is sized and constructed for that kind of use. Will a full race kit fit?
It swallows the soft kit comfortably: suit, underwear, gloves, and boots. Helmets are better in their own padded bag, which also stops the visor getting scratched in transit.
Is it worth a dedicated kit bag over a normal holdall?
The difference is compartments and padding in the right places: wet and dry separation, boot pockets that keep tarmac dust off your suit, and padded sections where they matter. A normal holdall works until the first time a buckle rubs a hole in fireproof fabric.
How do I look after it?
Brush it out and wipe it down rather than machine washing, and let it dry open after a wet weekend. Zips last longest if you close them before storage.
