What it does
Fits between the boss kit and the steering wheel to move the wheel closer to the driver. Available in five depths: 20mm, 40mm, 60mm, 80mm and 100mm. The bolt pattern is 6x70mm PCD, the standard used by OMP, Sparco, Momo, Sabelt and Motacorsa. If your boss kit and your wheel both use this pattern, the spacer fits between them without adapters.
When you need one
A driver who has fitted a boss kit and found the wheel too far away. A car where the standard boss position pushes the wheel into the driver’s legs under certain seat positions. A temporary measure while a column extension is being fabricated.
A note on the larger depths
100mm of spacer is a substantial amount and extends the lever arm between the boss and the wheel. That changes how the column responds to an impact, because you are moving mass further from the steering shaft. If you are considering 80mm or 100mm, think about whether a different boss kit or column adjustment would be a cleaner solution. We can advise on this if you tell us the car and the seat position.

What is a wheel spacer for?
It moves the wheel closer to you when your reach is not quite right and a different dish is not an option, and it can also give clearance for indicator stalks and column cowling. Our dish guide covers how to work out the reach you actually need.
