Sized around a helmet
Which is the useful thing about it. A race weekend bag has to take a helmet without crushing it, and most ordinary luggage does not. This one is built to swallow a helmet plus a suit, boots, gloves and underwear, which is the whole kit in one place.
That matters at scrutineering, when you may be asked to produce all of it at once.
The padlock is not a token
A full set of racewear plus a helmet is worth well over a thousand pounds, and it spends the weekend in a paddock with a great many people wandering past. A lockable zip on the bag it lives in is worth having.
Deliberately not enormous
OMP sized this one to be manageable rather than to hold everything you own. If you are travelling by air to an event, that is the right decision.

Will a full race kit fit?
That is what it is for: suit, boots, gloves, underwear, and in the larger sizes a helmet and HANS too, with wheels so your shoulders do not pay for it across a paddock. If you want to know whether a specific combination fits, ask us for the internal dimensions.
Is it worth a dedicated kit bag over a normal holdall?
The difference is compartments and padding in the right places: wet and dry separation, boot pockets that keep tarmac dust off your suit, and padded sections where they matter. A normal holdall works until the first time a buckle rubs a hole in fireproof fabric.
How do I look after it?
Brush it out and wipe it down rather than machine washing, and let it dry open after a wet weekend. Zips last longest if you close them before storage.
