The Sparco Tour is the largest kit bag in the Sparco range: 142 litres, which is enough for a full set of race kit, a helmet, gloves, shoes, and the odds and ends that accumulate over a race weekend. The casing is 600-denier polyester with a water-resistant coating and the racing-style quilting that has been on Sparco’s bag range for years. Part number SLW016437.

What makes it practical for race weekends rather than just looking the part is the combination of two carrying options. The padded carry handles work for short hauls across a paddock, and the retractable trolley handle with reinforced in-line wheels takes over for longer distances, including airports and car parks. The bag holds its shape under its own load rather than sagging once you load it up.

Inside, it splits into separate compartments. The upper section zips independently, so you can keep small items accessible without unpacking everything underneath. The lower bay takes the bulk of a race weekend’s kit.

It comes in five colourways: Black and Red, Black and Silver, two Martini Racing stripe variants in red or silver, and a Gulf-inspired theme. The Gulf version tends to move fastest and isn’t always in stock, so if that’s the one you’re after, it’s worth ordering when you see it.

If 142 litres is more than you need for a local track day where you’re carrying a suit and shoes, Sparco’s smaller bags in the range will do the job for less. Will a full race kit fit?
It swallows the soft kit comfortably: suit, underwear, gloves, and boots. Helmets are better in their own padded bag, which also stops the visor getting scratched in transit.

Is it worth a dedicated kit bag over a normal holdall?
The difference is compartments and padding in the right places: wet and dry separation, boot pockets that keep tarmac dust off your suit, and padded sections where they matter. A normal holdall works until the first time a buckle rubs a hole in fireproof fabric.

How do I look after it?
Brush it out and wipe it down rather than machine washing, and let it dry open after a wet weekend. Zips last longest if you close them before storage.
