These Sparco fire extinguishers include hand-held, electrical, and mechanical systems allowing you to choose between three different types of fire extinguishers that appeal to your needs. The Sparco fire extinguisher range consists of different sizes, from 2 litres up to 4.25 litres.Â
Sparco Hand Held Fire Extinguishers
The 2-litre handheld fire extinguisher from Sparco is filled with AFFF extinguishant making it eligible for use in NON-FIA or MUK Motorsport events including some historic racing and track days. AFFF is foam-based and has excellent fire knock-down properties and is also environmentally friendly.
The extinguisher is controlled by using a mechanical pull cable, which can be placed within easy reach of the driver for fast and convenient access. These systems are essential at higher levels of motorsport – in many cases they are a legal requirement and you may not be allowed to race without them.
This Sparco 4.25 Litre Mechanically Activated Fire Extinguisher System is approved to MSA and FIA standards for use in closed cockpit saloon cars. The steel bottle is filled with a foam-based extinguishant (AFFF) which has excellent fire knockdown properties. It is also designed to be environmentally friendly.
The Sparco Single Seater Electrical fire extinguisher is compact and lightweight system which has a 0.9 litre capacity and is homologated for use in open-cockpit single-seater cars. The system is electrically operated and features an aluminium bottle filled with AFFF foam-based extinguishant which has excellent fire knockdown properties and is also environmentally friendly.
