The Walero Long Johns (WAL400018) cover the lower body from waist to ankle, completing the full-body set when paired with the Walero Long Sleeve Top (WAL400017). Together they provide FIA 8856-2000 and SFI 3.3-approved coverage from neck to wrist to ankle, which is the requirement for circuit and rally drivers running Walero as their full underwear solution.
Outlast phase-change microcapsules are woven directly into the yarn, the same as in the Walero top and balaclava. The thighs carry the highest blood flow of any lower-body area, and the legs sit close to the transmission tunnel and gearbox casing, both of which generate sustained heat. The Outlast material absorbs that heat during the stint and releases it gradually as the driver cools, keeping the temperature cycle narrower than a plain Nomex layer would.
Walero add Envirotech+ antimicrobial treatment to the fabric at production. It is effective against common bacteria, viruses and fungal spores, which accumulate quickly in a garment worn tight against the skin in a hot car.
Fit runs XS to XXXL in Cool Grey or Petroleum. At £84 the long johns sit £7.20 below the top; the simpler lower-body construction accounts for that difference. If you already own the Walero top, this is the direct add-on to complete the set. Bought together, the two cost £175.20 for full FIA-approved coverage, which puts Walero below equivalent-spec kits from most other approved brands.
