The Sparco Co-Driver Bag is designed for rally and circuit co-driving. It has two large main compartments, sized to take a race log, road book, pace note folder, and the loose paperwork that accumulates over a day’s running.

A removable front compartment includes internal pockets for pens, markers, and small items that need to be accessible quickly without opening the main bag. A separate side pocket fits a mobile phone. The shoulder strap is adjustable and the bag closes with a full zip throughout.

The two-compartment layout is the practical point of this bag: keeping the current stage notes separate from the full book means you are not leafing through everything to find the right section during an interservice. Most generic travel bags are too deep and not structured for that kind of rapid access.

Polyester construction keeps it light. At £50 this is priced as a working piece of kit rather than fashion, and Sparco supply it through the rally sector where co-drivers need something that actually organises their workload.

Will a full race kit fit?
It swallows the soft kit comfortably: suit, underwear, gloves, and boots. Helmets are better in their own padded bag, which also stops the visor getting scratched in transit.

Is it worth a dedicated kit bag over a normal holdall?
The difference is compartments and padding in the right places: wet and dry separation, boot pockets that keep tarmac dust off your suit, and padded sections where they matter. A normal holdall works until the first time a buckle rubs a hole in fireproof fabric.

How do I look after it?
Brush it out and wipe it down rather than machine washing, and let it dry open after a wet weekend. Zips last longest if you close them before storage.
